Friends & Neighbors-- Just a final reminder regarding this Thursday's general membership meeting at 7:30 pm at the GW Masonic Memorial. Some of the topics on our agenda include: -- Mayor Euille's remarks about the City -- City sidewalk initiative near MacArthur Elementary -- Review of past and pending TRCA efforts -- Constitutional amendment regarding timing of general membership meetings On this last point, please note the following proposed changes to the first sentence of Article VIII, Section 1 of the Constitution (changes noted in CAPS): "There shall be a general meeting of the membership at least twice a year, ONE in EITHER March OR APRIL and ANOTHER IN EITHER September OR OCTOBER, the March OR APRIL meeting to include election of officers and the Executive Committee." You may recall discussion in April about the timing of last March's election meeting. The TRCA Constitution Committee has proposed this amendment to lend greater flexibility in the scheduling of both the Fall and Spring general membership meetings around potential holiday, school, and other conflicts. As always, your Executive Committee appreciates your thoughtful consideration and participation, and we look forward to seeing you. -- Chad Sarchio President, TRCA -------------- Forwarded Message: -------------- From: jagchad@comcast.net To: neighbors@taylor-run.alexandria.va.us Subject: Reminder and Invitation Date: Fri, 19 Sep 2008 14:44:03 +0000 > Friends & Neighbors-- > > I hope this finds you well and ready to attend TRCA's Fall general membership > meeting next Thursday at 7:30 pm at the GW Masonic Memorial.
