<p align="center"><em>Mayor, Council and School Board Elections - May
5<br>Statewide Primary Elections - June 9</em></p>
<p align="left">Alexandria election officials are preparing for two elections a
month apart this spring. The elections for Mayor, City Council, and School
Board are on May 5. In the race for City Council, the local political parties
have nominated their candidates, and two independents are running. Mayor
William D. Euille is running unopposed. </p>
<p align="left">All nine school board seats are up for election. The city is
divided into three school districts with three elected from each district. Go
